Daily Senate Schedule for Monday, September 16, 2019
The Senate will next convene at 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 16 after standing in adjournment at 4:21 p.m. Thursday, September 12.
Following the Leaders’ remarks, the Senate will be in Morning Business until 5:00 p.m., with Senators permitted to speak up to 10 minutes each.
The Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #399, John Rakolta, Jr., of Michigan, to be Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
The Senate will conduct a cloture VOTE on Executive Calendar #399.
On September 12, cloture was also filed on:
1) Executive Calendar #288, Kenneth A. Howery, of Texas, to be Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden;
2) Executive Calendar #223, Robert A. Destro, of Virginia, to be Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor;
3) Executive Calendar #419, Brent James McIntosh, of Michigan, to be an Under Secretary of the Treasury; and
4) Executive Calendar #418, Brian Callanan, of New Jersey, to be General Counsel for the Department of the Treasury.
