Senate offers an Obamacare off-ramp
Heading into 2016, Obamacare will continue to create challenges for patients, families, doctors, and small businesses. The Senate passed an Obamacare repeal bill to ease the pain Americans are feeling across the country from Obamacare’s broken promises, new taxes, higher spending, and greater dysfunction. In 2016, President Obama will have the opportunity to sign this bill and relieve Americans from the law’s mandates, costs, taxes and regulations. Obamacare repeal
- October 23, 2015 – House passes Obamacare repeal 240-189
- December 3, 2015 – Senate passes Obamacare repeal 52-47
- January 2016 – House expected to pass Obamacare repeal as amended by Senate
- Within 10 days excluding Sundays after presentment (if Congress is not adjourned) – The president must take action on the bill, otherwise it becomes law
