Daily Senate Schedule for Wednesday, June 12, 2013
The Senate will next convene at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 after standing in adjournment at 6:39 p.m. Tuesday, June 11.
Following the Leaders' remarks, the Senate will be in Morning Business for one hour, with the first half under Majority control and the second half under Republican control and Senators permitted to speak up to 10 minutes each.
The Senate will resume consideration of S. 744, the Immigration bill.
Pending to S. 744 are Leahy amendment #1183 (performing arts visas) and Grassley amendment #1195 (border control for six months before provisional immigrant status processing begins).
Roll call VOTES are possible on Wednesday.
At a time to be determined, the Senate will begin 30 minutes of debate, equally divided, on:
- Executive Calendar #47, Nitza I. Quinones Alejandro, of Pennsylvania, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; and
- Jeffrey L. Schmehl, of Pennsylvania, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Upon the use or yielding back of time, the Senate will conduct VOTES on confirmation of the nominations.
